In combination with the integrated travel tools, extra software add-ons are accessible, which includes the Garmin Language Guide, with records given by Oxford University Press.

Here’s what one customer had to say about the Garmin Nuvi 350:

“For years, I’ve used and relied on a Garmin StreetPilot III and thought it was great. But technology has obviously improved over the past few years, and I couldn’t be more impressed with my Nuvi 350. Imagine a device about the size of a PDA, only much lighter, which contains detailed road data for the entire country. It’s so light, in fact, that I don’t believe that the suction cup mount will ever give out. I love the way it clearly speaks the directions, including the names of the streets.

But the REALLY cool thing about the Nuvi is that there’s no learning curve! Due to the super-easy touch screen, you can take the device right out of the box and easily use it right away without reading any material at all. In fact, you could tell your 90-year old grandmother to please go to your car and program a destination into the device, and she could do it with amazing ease. This may be one of the more expensive portable GPS devices out there, but it’s worth every penny. If you’re shopping around, stop now. This is the best GPS in the world!”

And here’s another review:

“After trying other Garmin units, this is the one I kept. Simply wonderful. I bought it when it was more than triple its current price and thought it was good deal then. It’s a great deal now.

It has all the characteristics that I was looking for:

1) VERY compact — easily able to fit in a breast pocket
2) Text-to-Speech — announces proper street names, not just “turn left in 500 feet”; radically reduces how much you need to look at the screen to figure out the real instructions; wouldn’t own a GPS unit wihtout this
3) Bright Screen — readable in virtually every situation

AND

Faster location of the GPS satellites. This turns out to be quite important in day-to-day use. In the other systems, it wasn’t unusual that we could be driving for a couple minutes before it located the satellites and could give us directions.

With this unit, the satellites are located almost as quickly as the unit fully starts up.

One comment on how we use this: We don’t mount it on the dash board or on the window (which is technically illegal here in California). Instead we just lay this on the center console in our van or car. The antenna system is plenty sensitive to work just like this and we’ve never lost the satellite signals except in tunnels.

We also like all the potential of the traveling features (clock, calculator, etc.), but this is the one to own even if you just use it for the basic GPS features.”

Overall, we highly recommend this Garmin Nuvi 350 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator!

Here’s what one customer had to say about the Garmin Nuvi 350:

“I used the Nuvi GPS for the first time today and I think it is wonderful. The screen is very clear, the operation easy, and it worked perfectly. I am so pleased I got a GPS with the text to speech feature, it is very useful and greatly aid navigation. The voice instructions are so clear that I really didn’t need to watch the screen at all. I purposely took wrong turns to see what the GPS would do and it recalculated an alternative route within a couple of seconds (and it sounds so patient!!). I highly recommend this very useful and fun gadget.”

And here are a few more reviews:

“This is my very first GPS and I’ll never forget my first time with Jill. My wife and I used it for the first time to drive from San Antonio TX to Yellowstone Park, via a side trip to Boulder CO to see our daughter. And we’ll never forget the joys of not being lost and the comfort of having ZERO fear of getting lost. The Nuvi is my friend. We love the voice of Jill. She never becomes exasperated if we don’t do exactly as she offers, but if we DO follow her instructions the end result is always spot on…. except for exact street addresses of homes. I suspect that’s more of a builder’s problem as they assign inexact house addresses than it is a Nuvi problem. Still, home addresses are within a house or two.

The Nuvi-350 is the single most comforting, easy-to-use, perfectly-sized, dynamic, intuitive piece of electronics I have ever purchased. I simply cannot believe that it can and does do what it does. As in another review I read which convinced us to buy the Nuvi-350, I also say: “Insanely recommended.” ”

“This is my first GPS device, having wanted one for a long time, but as I was close to getting the Magellan 760 (based upon reviews), this product came out. Having used it now for the past week, I will never need MapQuest or Yahoo Maps ever again.

It’s also so extremely portable that I can store it when parking, travel, etc. The screen is extremely bright and viewable in all light conditions. I thought that the small 3.5″ diagonal screen would be too small, but it’s just right. The text-to-speech is awesome, accurate, and very understandable. The TTS comes in various languages as well (was brushing up on my French). Satellite reception is excellent, fast on many occasions. There are times when it will say “Poor satellite reception” but I just reboot the system and it picks them up again. With all of the highlights for this awesome gadget, the best feature is the POI. If you want Chinese food, the searchable POI is extremely powerful. Need a local Target? No problem.

How about an Apple store. Easy. It’s a Yellow Pages for the entire country. I haven’t used any of the Travel Tools, but I’m sure they’re just as good. Highly recommended.”

Numerous individuals these days have discovered the fact that the Garmin Nuvi 350 has performed wonderful for these people.

We hope this particular posting was beneficial towards anyone considering purchasing the Garmin Nuvi 350.
